Organisers of swim: The Mayor of Tarifa, and the Military Commandant of the Garrison of Tarifa (Don Francisco Martin Bueno) – the latter being in charge of the timing of the swim.
Accompanying sailing vessels: (1) The Joven Manuel, owned by Don Benito Flores Alvarex, Municipal Judge of Tarifa;
(2) The Victor Hugo, owned by Don Jesus Vallejo Ezquerre.
