1969: Inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF) as an Honor Swimmer.

2013: Enshrined in IMSHOF as an Honor Pioneer Marathon Swimmer. 
The ceremony took place at the Global Open Water Conference held in Cork, Republic of Ireland, 11 to 13 October 2013.
